A very warm welcome to this Website for the Roman Catholic Parish of Saint John Henry Newman, Morecambe. We are part of the Diocese of Lancaster based in the North West of England and this Parish spreads right across Morecambe heading north towards Hest Bank and the villages of Bare and Torrisholme. Also heading south towards Heysham and the villages of Middleton, Overton and Sunderland Point.
There are two Churches in the Parish, St. Mary’s which is situated close to the Town Centre and Promenade on Matthias Street and St. Patrick’s which is in Heysham on St. John’s Road.
Our Parish Priest Fr Darren Carden.
Our Parish Deacon Rev John McCann
If you are visiting Morecambe in the future then please do come and visit us too!
Please note:
Holy Mass will be live streamed on days when Mass is celebrated at St Mary’s via our YouTube page.
The parish has a donation page setup with Dona, as well as a card machine at the back of St Mary’s Church, and QR codes around both churches which you can scan to donate. There is also a link to donate here on the website.
